NCAA Basketball Championship, Overtime Win For Kansas
The 2008 Championship ended in the Kansas Jayhawks winning the title, but it didn’t come easy. Kansas was up by 5 points at the end of the first half, but they somehow lost their groove and were down by 9 points with 2 minutes left. In the next two minutes, the Jayhawks came back with a 3 pointer to tie (2.1 seconds left). The game went into overtime where Kansas dominated and won the game.
Memphis had the game won….oh wait, they didn’t because the Kansas Jayhawks were cutting the net down at the end of the game.
Tidbits of Information:
The last time the NCAA Basketball Championship game went into overtime was in 1997.
20th Anniversary of when the Jayhawks last won the championship.
