Piers Morgan Named The Celebrity Apprentice

Twelve weeks and twelve celebrities later, tonight was the last night of the Celebrity Apprentice. The final two were Trace Adkins and Piers Morgan and they were planning an event for charity. The goal was to raise money at the auction, raise money with ticket sales and plan a great event. Ultimately it was because Piers was able to raise about $750,000 and Trace only raised about $100,000. However, I don’t think that Piers deserved it. He made everyone mad at one point during the process, but the only good thing that he did was get Omarosa off the show.

I really dislike her because since she was on the Apprentice in season 1, she has thought that she was the end all be all of human existence. I hope she will realize that she is going through life trying to make people hate her and in the grand scheme of life, she is going to be in for a rude awakening once this “trip” she is on ends.

Trace Adkins was amazing and he is 1,000 times better than person/competitor that Piers is. I do not like country music, but now I can at least listen to him because of my new found respect for what he is going through with his daughter. Food Allergies affect 12,000,000 Americans. Many of those people are so allergic, that if someone has peanut butter on their hands and they get to close, the affected person can go into Anaphylaxis. Congratulations Trace on never giving up your morals to get ahead in this game. Also because you played this game to win not for the bragging rights but to help save millions of people. You cared about your charity because it affects you personally and you never let that go.

Even though I don’t think he deserves it, he is playing for charity and it is a great one. The Intrepid Fallen Heroes Fund is a leader in supporting the men and women of the Armed Forces and their families. “From 2000 to 2005 the Fund provided close to $20 million to families of United States military personnel lost in performance of their duty, mostly in service in Iraq and Afghanistan. The Fund provided unrestricted grants of $11,000 to each spouse and $5,000 to each dependent child; and $1,000 to parents of unmarried service members. The payments were coordinated with the casualty offices of the Armed Forces, to ensure all families received these benefits. In 2005 a new law substantially increased the benefits granted to these families. With that mission therefore accomplished, the Fund redirected its support toward the severely injured. For information on Intrepid Fallen Heroes Fund support provided to families of those lost prior to May 12, 2005,” – source

Even Champions Have Off Days, Red Sox Fall Short In Game 2

Even the defending World Series Champions sometimes can’t get the ball in play, but try not to judge them yet. They will prevail over the Indians, Tigers and the Evil Evil Empire (Yankees).

Today however, Jon Lester didn’t have it this morning (last night in Japan). He gave up 4 runs in 4 innings and leaving the bull pen with nothing to work with.

Rich Harden on the other hand was amazing.
“I want to give Rich credit,” said Manny Ramirez, whose home run with two out in the sixth accounted for Boston’s only run and gave him 491 for his career, nine fewer than the 500-homer milestone. “He pitched a great game. He has a nasty splitter. His slider was working. He was 95 (miles an hour). He’s got it all.”

Record: 1-1

Red Sox Come Back To Take Game 1 Of The 2008 Season

I know that Daisuke didn’t have a good start of the game, but he calmed down after a few innings and considering it was the first game and it was in Japan (his home crowd), he was a bit nervous.

However, he is their star player and even though he didn’t get the win, he didn’t get the loss. After Manny came up big in the 6th inning giving the Red Sox the lead, they took Daisuke out so that he could possibly get the win. The Athletics came right back taking the lead 4-3. It wasn’t until the 9th inning when, last minute replacement for hurt JD Drew, Brandon Moss came out and blasted one for a Home Run to tie the game taking it into the 10th inning.

Manny once again came up big with a double bringing home two runs. In the bottom of the 10th, the A’s got a run back but Papelbon and the crew were able to close out the game for the win. We are on our way to back-to-back championships, first time since the 1915-1916 seasons.

NOTE: Jordan’s furniture is doing the promotion again, but this time, the Red Sox have to sweep the World Series for the free furniture “Monster Deal”.

I Killed A Mouse In A Jar…Not Really But He Did Die!

A few months ago, my sisters, my brother-in-laws and I were helping my parents clean their basement since they were selling their house and today my mother found a little surprise in a jar. I left a glass container outside a few months ago and when the snow came, we forgot about it. Today my mother brought my nephew out for a walk and my mother found a dead mouse inside of the container. My sister called me at work jokingly saying that I killed Fievel. In case you are unfamiliar with the reference, Fievel is a cartoon mouse that went on adventures.

I figured why not take pictures!
