Even Champions Have Off Days, Red Sox Fall Short In Game 2
Even the defending World Series Champions sometimes can’t get the ball in play, but try not to judge them yet. They will prevail over the Indians, Tigers and the Evil Evil Empire (Yankees).
Today however, Jon Lester didn’t have it this morning (last night in Japan). He gave up 4 runs in 4 innings and leaving the bull pen with nothing to work with.

Rich Harden on the other hand was amazing.
“I want to give Rich credit,” said Manny Ramirez, whose home run with two out in the sixth accounted for Boston’s only run and gave him 491 for his career, nine fewer than the 500-homer milestone. “He pitched a great game. He has a nasty splitter. His slider was working. He was 95 (miles an hour). He’s got it all.”
Record: 1-1
