Facebook Chat To Be Launched In Two Weeks
Facebook is going into the world of Chat in a few weeks, but is it something that will be good or bad for the company. I can understand why they would do it, I have had back and forth messages/wall posts from friends and thought how much easier it would have been if I could chat with them.
Why not just use a already released instant messaging software? You could do that if your AIM buddy list isn’t full and some of your friends might be on Google Talk, ICQ or Windows Messenger. You don’t want to log into 3 different programs, do you? Besides, this is the next logical step for Facebook.
I am not saying that I think it is a good idea, I am saying that if they present it properly, most people will enjoy it. However, you will always have people who disagree with your decision. The only thing you can do is try to please most people. If everyone is against something, than it might be a different story.
We will see how this saga turns out when they “launch” (projected) in two weeks.
