After loving Fast and the Furious and 2 Fast 2 Furious, I was interested in the Untitled Fast and the Furious which is set to release May 2009.
Here are the two plot summaries that I have seen so far.
Brian help the feds stop a heroin importer known as Braga. With the help of an informant named James Park, Brian - and ultimately Dominic Toretto - wins a place on the criminal’s team, where he - and his flashy Nissan - plan to catch the man red-handed.
Letty has been killed working for drug baron Antonio Braga. Brian, fresh from an undercover stint in prison, is out to catch the man responsible, and so is Dominic. Brian and Dominic go undercover as members of Braga’s drug transportation team.
There was an article recently that explained how herbal stores in Los Angles opened two PVMs (Prescription Vending Machines). The machines will allow for more security and lower costs instead of on the streets. It would be in a controlled environment that will be monitored and documented. The patient would go into the store and present their prescription, photo id to the staff and then the patient will be photographed and fingerprinted. The owner stated that there would be less overhead and the savings would reduce the price.
The machines have different flavors that you can buy in two convenient sizes, 1/8 and 2/8 of an ounce (3.54369039 and 7.08738078 grams). The FDA however, doesn’t agree with this form of the prescription, as they would give out pills. The FDA also doesn’t agree with what to feed children anymore either, so I don’t know about them.
It is “legal” in 11 states, but considered illegal in the United States. I have heard many people argue about the pros and cons and what outweighs what. Today there was an article about how the machines violate international treaties.
Marijuana vending machines in Los Angeles violate international treaties and should be shut down, the U.N.-affiliated drug control board said Friday.
“The International Narcotics Control Board is deeply concerned about reports that computerized vending machines to dispense cannabis (marijuana) have been put into operation in Los Angeles,” Philip O. Emafo, president of the board, said in a statement.
At least three Los Angeles medical marijuana dispensaries have installed vending machines to distribute the drug to people who carry cards authorizing marijuana use. The drug is said to alleviate chronic pain, loss of appetite and other ailments.
Apparently pride is more important than stopping the pain that ales thousands/millions of people around the country who are suffering. Alcohol is more of drug than marijuana is by far. Alcohol has a higher dependence, intoxication and tolerance. There has never been a recorded death due to an overdose of marijuana but alcohol is responsible for tens of thousands of death per year. If the US legalized it, they could control it, tax it and end the “war on pot”. If you use marijuana like alcohol, not in excess and do not operate a vehicle, most people will be fine.
People want to try and convince you that people are more aggressive on weed. Robin Williams disagrees: ‘The poor Canadian snowboarder, in the 1998 Olympics, they took away his medal because he tested positive for marijuana, which is kinda redundant number one, number two, they said that marijuana was a “performance-enhancing drug”. Marijuana enhances many things, colors, flavors, sensations, but you are certainly not fucking empowered. When you’re stoned, you’re lucky if you can find your own goddamn feet. The only way it’s a performance-enhancing drug is if there’s a big fucking Hershey bar at the end of the run. Then you’ll be like a Swiss ski jumper going, “I’m there!”.’ - Live on Broadway.
Tonight was the Survivor: Micronesia - Fans vs. Favorites Premiere and it was amazing. Some of my favorites past players are there, like Amanda, Parvarti, Ozzy and Yau-man. One person who I did not like was “Jonny Fairplay” who cheated and lied on the show saying his grandmother was dead. Yau-man is my favorite because he is a 55 year old computer scientist who is an amazing player. He also stole the immunity from Jonny Fairplay by pushing him into th canoe and that made Jonny real mad. ***************** SPOILER **************************
Jonny said that he missed his girlfriend and his soon to be baby and wanted to go home. He did it so that he could leave on his own terms and not be Jonny Fairplay that everyone knew.

At my work, we are going to be starting a complete redesign of one of our sites in the next few weeks and we are preparing for it now. Just as I was leaving from work, my boss told me that he wants me to start using Flickr API’s for our photo galleries. I have had a pro flickr account for over a year and use it every day, but I have never wrapped my head around the API. (I don’t know why, it’s very easy)
If you want to use PHP to get the data, you would use the Serialized PHP Response Format in which you pass it information and it returns a multi-dimensional array. After looking at the PHP code, I realized that this would need to be a function since it is repeating a lot of information except a few spots. There are flickr libraries that you can use, but this is my first stab at it and I tried, but there were a few glitches. Here is a quick function I created to accomplish the request.

This should be saved in a functions file and called from another page that included this page. Below is the code used to call the request. You would change the $params array to what is required in that particular method.

Using the $data array, you can manipulate or retrieve the data how it fits your needs. This was thrown together quick to get something from flickr which I did. I displayed all the photos from one of my sets.
There may be a better way to accomplish this that I am not aware of, I just started looking at the API’s tonight. Hope this helps a basic request call.
Super Tuesday is when the majority of states vote for President in their individual primaries. However, in the past most people do not vote in the primaries because it is just too hard to get their after work or they don’t see the point, but that problem may change this year with the country in shambles. Mitt Romney is my former governor and I have to respect that, but he makes stupid comments that average people will pick up on and blast him for it.
In the article below, it summarizes that Mitt Romney is worth over $500 Million (> $500,000,000) and analysts have said that even though he doesn’t really have a chance in winning, he has enough money to stay in all the way to the nomination convention. So he is worth more than most average people combined and most people are alright with that. However, in a speech in “Southie” (South Boston) he mentioned that we are tired of the oil companies “taking money out of our pockets”. Our pockets? Really…Our Pockets? You have over 500 Million Dollars and you’re worried about your pockets. What about the people who are cold in the winter and hungry in the summer. What about the people who come home from this trillion dollar war and you have nothing to give them. What about the families who cry themselves to sleep because of an illness and wake up the next morning and fight to live on. What about the people who don’t complain about their unfortunate lives and you are spending money on running for a presidency that is not going to be yours. I’m not saying to give all your money, but stop spending it stupidly. Accept the loss and try and change the country/world with money instead of power.
