Want to turn the left image into the right image using photoshop? Here is a video tutorial on how to accomplish that.
My friend Matt posted a sweet video that he created about taking the outline of an image and putting it into photoshop to color it. I know the basics of photshop, plus some extra fun tools, but I can not do this. Even though I use it at work and for my own projects, I couldn’t do that with my current skills.
Since this is video 1, I am assuming that he will be posting more, so I would check out his site often for updates.

I finally got around to seeing “National Treasure 2: Book of Secrets” and I was really happy with the way it turned out. I was getting a mixed bag about how it was from others, but after seeing it for myself, I can see both sides of that argument.
One the one hand, it is a Disney movie so it will be very good, but not amazing. Also with Jerry Bruckheimer as producer, it has the ability to become a classic movie that everyone will talk about. The movie takes you from the Buckingham Palace to the White House to Mount Rushmore on an exciting adventure that doesn’t stop until the very end.
However, I reason that I love these movies is because of the history behind it. A lot of information in that movie was accurate exactly like it happened in history. The movie showed a recreation of Lincoln’s assassination and what happened directly after and I know that it is right because of a report that I wrote in High School. One of my teachers made me write a report on Abraham Lincoln’s assassination and how it affected the country. I actually had the report until I graduated college and it got ripped and I threw it away. I did re-read it recently and they showed it exactly as I stated he did from my research. (I also wrote 2 pages on his autopsy, which was very interesting)
Back to my review: I recommend this movie to anyone who enjoys a little history, entertainment and action.

I am not sure of why I decided to click on the No Fear Act at the bottom of the USPS website, but I did and stumbled upon this interesting piece of data. It is a list of all the complaints filed by people against the USPS for working conditions/situations. Race, Color, Religion, Sex, National Origin, Age and Disability were the most common types of complaints filed.
Here is a table comparing this past year with previous years. As you can see over the past 5 years, the number of overall complaints has dropped by more than double and keeps dropping each year. For all of the data, here is the source

Are you the type of person who loves to have many tabs open at once because your job or your OCD requires it? I am not overly tab heavy, but I do usually have many tabs open at once. Have you ever wanted to switch tabs without using your mouse, but didn’t know how to do it?
Well, there is the option of holding down “ctrl + Tab” or “ctrl + shift + tab” to go in reverse, but I’m not talking about that. What about if you have 39 tabs open and you want to get to the last one from number 12. You could just hold down “ctrl + 9″ (very last tab) or you could choose a different one, number 5 for example, hold down “ctrl + 5″.
Hope this helps!

Just like last year, Ohio State took the early lead with a touchdown and then scored a field goal to lead 10-0. However, LSU came back and scored 31 straight points to take the lead 31-10. Then OSU scored once more to make it 31-17, but that was all the scoring that happened for a while.
With 6 minutes left in the game, LSU picked off Ohio State and then got a key 4th and 1 for a first running the clock down another few minutes. LSU then got a few more first downs on their way to another touchdown to lead it 38-17 with 1:50 left in the game. Ohio State tried to come back with 1:13 left making it 38-24, but their earlier mistakes cost them big. Ohio State lost for the second time in the past two years which is sad considering they were number 1 ranked both years. LSU is the first team to win 2 BCS Championships.
CONGRATULATIONS TO THE LOUISIANA STATE UNIVERSITY FIGHTING TIGERS, THE 2008 BCS NATIONAL CHAMPIONS.
Note: There was a few stoppages that shouldn’t have occurred in the last few minutes of the game.

The Google Docs Blog informed users that Google Presentations now give you the option to embed shows onto websites and blogs. I was using the SlideShare Wordpress plugin, but I didn’t like the way their slide shows were setup. I use many of Google services (Gmail, Docs, Search, Adsense, Analytics, iGoogle, Maps, etc) but until they allowed for embeddable presentations, I didn’t use the slide shows. It’s not like create a lot of slide shows anymore, but it is still good to have.
I created a very QUICK presentation just to get the concept and implementation out to others.

Being that I am both a Red Sox fanatic and a web developer/geek, I think working for a sports legend would be sweet. Curt Schilling, (Boston Red Sox) pitcher started up a video game company called 38 Studios formerly Green Monster Games and they are, at time of post, looking for a Web Manager for their site.
Contrary to popular belief, the company’s original name was not named after the wall in Fenway Park. Schilling as quoted on the Fires of Heaven Guild message boards, posting under his EQ characters name Ngruk, “The GMG name was, and I know this is going to be impossible to believe, not named after the left field wall at Fenway. The name was made up by someone who knew next to nothing about baseball and isn’t even from this country.”
I am not saying that I would apply for the job considering that I currently enjoy who I am working for, but it would be fun to apply. I don’t think Curt would be dealing with the hiring, but it would be a fun interview if he did. He also runs a blog based out of 38 Pitches which is in my feed and I read a lot.

It is time for the 2008 Presidential Elections to begin and it starts in Iowa. For months, Hillary Clinton was the front runner for the Democratic National Party, but after today, Obama is now in control by winning the Iowa Caucus with 38% of the votes. In five days, it will be off to New Hampshire for the first of many primaries.
Even though Obama still has a lot more work ahead of him, he is looking better than he was 2 months ago. Good Luck and Congratulations!

Every time you watch a baseball game, you will see foul balls, end of inning balls being thrown in the stands and balls that hit the dirt get taken out of play. What do they do with those balls and how many baseballs get used during a MLB game/season.
After doing some research, I found out that in one game, there could be 72 baseballs used. The home team must have 90 baseballs on hand at each game. Most baseballs only last on average about 6 pitches before they are taken out of play. If you figure out each game for each team the entire season, you are looking at 113,850 baseballs used in a season. Each ball is $3 and multiplying that by 113,850, MLB spends $341,550 on baseballs each season.
Just an interesting observation!
