I was having a conversation on the way to lunch with a few people from work about “Ace of Base”. Now I know that this is very random, but they were playing “The Sign” on the radio in the car. I made a comment about them being a one hit wonder and my boss tells me that they had quite a few hit songs. I didn’t believe him, but said that I would research it later and let him know.
After doing my homework on the situation, I found out that I did know their other songs, but didn’t know who sang them…until now. The songs are actually some really “good” early 90’s music that were awesome. Go back to those days once in a while and remember how things were different. Enjoy!

NOTE: This post assumes that you have working knowledge with PHP and arrays
I was working on a project at work which required a search function. Since we were using Web Services to get the data, I had to create an array looping over each section of the data and appending it to that array. Normally when using straight queries, you can add the search into the query itself. However, with arrays you need to use the array_search function that PHP provides. It would look something like this:
[code lang="php"]
$look_for = mixed value
$look_in = String
This works really well if you have a simple array, but once you get into multi-dimensional arrays, array_search just doesn’t cut it. After looking over some user created functions on the PHP website, I was able to find a function that worked very well. It not only recursively searches through the array, but it also keeps the current structure of the array which in other functions got lost. Once you output the array, it “should” be easy to foreach over the results and process your data.
[code lang="php"]
function array_search_recursive($needle, $haystack,&$tree=Array(),$index=”"){
if (is_array($haystack)){
if (count($tree)==0) $tree=array_merge(Array(),$haystack);
foreach($haystack as $k=>$current){
if (is_array($current)){
array_search_recursive($needle,$current,$tree,$index.”[$k]“);
eval(”\$a=\$tree{$index}[{$k}];”); // unset all elements = empty array
if (count($a)==0) //is empty?
eval(”unset(\$tree{$index}[$k]);”); // unset array
}else{
if ($current!=$needle){
eval(”unset(\$tree{$index}[{$k}]);”);
}
}
}
}
return $tree;
}
Jamie Lynn Spears, 16, is the sister of Britney Spears, 26, and they grew up like any normal kids and then they got into show biz. Jamie Lynn was on “All That” on Nickelodeon and she had her own tv show called “Zoey 101″.
This is Jamie Lynn when she was on “All That” in 2002, she was 12 at the time.
The following pictures are of her now at 16.
Here she is rolling her eyes, just like a pregnant mother acts or a 16 year old brat
If someone didn’t know who she is, she might pass for 22.
Here she is catching a ride with a crack addicted dead beat mother, oh my mistake, it’s her sister Britney. Wait I was right.
Look at how good of a job she is doing at taking care of her dog. Hopefully she doesn’t carry the baby around in that, like Britney does.
After some careful thinking, she decided to keep the baby.
After I finished watching one of my shows tonight, Dave had Cher on from 1998 as a guest and musical performer. Right as I ended my show, she was singing and they turned the camera to look out to the audience and it showed a monitor with the lyrics scrolling by. I understand that in 1998, her song believe just came out, but if you are going to need lyrics, don’t put the camera so the whole world can see.
I know there are parts of a show that go on in the background that the rest of the world doesn’t see and that’s what makes the show go smooth. If you pull a bone head move, people will notice and some people will lose respect for that performer. Just a thought.
America’s cultural legacy resonates around the world through movies and television. When placed in an historical context, these stories archive a complex, rich, visual record of our modern civilization.
AFI was created to protect and preserve the legacy of the moving image art form so that future generations will have a greater understanding and appreciation for the proud heritage reflected in the realities of a new modern day.
Each year, AFI AWARDS honors excellence in the moving image arts within the context of a Year in Review. This is the next chapter in AFI’s national mandate — specifically, the creation of an annual almanac that records and preserves the evolution of the moving image arts in the 21st century.
AFI AWARDS adds a volume to the history of American film and television each year by documenting the collective opinion of the moving image communities, recognizing the year’s significant moments and honoring the individuals and creative ensembles who have created the year’s outstanding achievements.
AFI has just announced the official selections of AFI AWARDS 2007, AFI’s almanac that records the year’s most outstanding achievements in film and television. Ten AFI Movies of the Year and 10 TV Programs of the Year have just been determined by the juries.

I knew at some point that Google would come to the Boston area, but I didn’t think they would go all over the Boston Area. This includes my hometown and house.
This is what Arlington Heights looks like on Mass Ave.
Many people think that this song was written centuries ago and is the National Anthem of Austria. However, it turns out that the song was written by Oscar Hammerstein II for the Sound of Music in 1959.
Edelweiss is a white flower found high in the Alpine hills and the lyrics reflect its change and the effect on people. I don’t really know if that makes sense, but it’s ok.
Edelweiss Lyrics
Edelweiss, Edelweiss
Every morning you greet me
Small and white, clean and bright
You look happy to meet me
Blossom of snow may you bloom and grow
Bloom and grow forever

I got this list from a friend who got the names before they were released. There are many names on the list which were expected, but I am disappointed in a few of the names which include Jason Varitek Roger Clemens. More information will follow.

This was sent to me by my mother and I thought it was amazing!
A man decided to write a book about Churches around the country. He started by flying to San Francisco and started working east from there.
Going to a very large church, he began taking photographs and making notes. He spotted a golden telephone on the vestibule wall and was intrigued with a sign, which read “Calls: $10,000 a minute.” Seeking out the pastor he asked about the phone and the sign.
The pastor answered that this golden phone is, in fact, a direct line to heaven and if he pays the price he can talk directly to God. The man thanked the pastor and continued on his way.
As he continued to visit churches in Seattle, Dallas, St. Louis, Chicago, Milwaukee and all around the United States, he found more phones, with the same sign, and the same answer from each pastor.
Finally, he arrived in Massachusetts. Upon entering a church in Boston………..Behold - he saw the usual golden telephone. But this time, the sign read “Calls: $0.35 cents.”
Fascinated, he asked to talk to the pastor, “Reverend, I have been in cities all across the country and in each church I have found this golden telephone and have been told it is a direct line to Heaven and that I could talk to God, but in the other churches the cost was $10,000 a minute. Your sign reads only $0.35 cents a call. Why?”
The pastor, smiling benignly, replied:
“Son, you’re in Boston, Massachusetts now, home of the Red Sox, the Patriots, Celtics, Bruins and Boston College! You’re in God’s Country, It’s a local call.”
