August 31st Birthdays/Events…My Birthday
Today is my birthday and I was interested to see who had the same birthday as me. It turns out there are some pretty famous people who were born on August 31st.
Birthdays:
1928 – James Coburn, Actor (died in 2002)
1945 – Van Morrison, Musician
1949 – Richard Gere, American actor
1968 – Hideo Nomo, Former Red Sox pitcher – 2001
1972 – Chris Tucker, Actor in the Rush Hour movies
1973 – Scott Niedermayer, hockey player
1975 – Gabe Kapler, Former Red Sox player
There were not a lot of important events that happened on my birthday, but there were some from the past and “present” (after I was born).
Events:
1897 – Thomas Edison patents the Kinetoscope, the first movie projector.
1962 – Trinidad and Tobago become independent.
1997 – Diana, Princess of Wales, dies in a car crash in Paris. (10 year anniversary today)
