Sorry, I hit enter accidently there. I meant to say, SpaceTime is not meant to be a full fledged web browser, just a neat new way to look at a lot of stuff on the fly. Very creative.

I think it's pretty cool. It is definitely user friendly. It's very simple. I'm sure it's not meant to be

I have tried SP Beta briefly, and frankly that was quite enough for a thorough assessment.

SP Beta is in my view, not even a Beta. the way it is now it shouldn't even be released and it's an insult even calling it a web browser.

For starters the only interactivity allowed with websites is when the websites are singularly selected and blown full screen, which is ridiculous for something that's supposed to offer something more than your average tabbed web browser.

Second of all, the rendering sucks. the scope of 3D is not only to make the web browsing practical, but also pleasant to the eye, and this is no more pleasant than rend386.

Next is the resolution of the webpages: i almost fell from my chair when i saw that even in a 3D environment (which is supposed to be exempt from resolution boundaries) the web sites were still cropped to a resolution of 800x600 with no way to adjust or modify it even in the preferences.

3D navigation is impractical and uncomfortable. The keyboard should be used only for typing addresses and not for web navigation.

The lazy and sluggish concept behind these pieces of useless-ware is the very reason why people don't feel motivated in giving credit to new technology. It's not people's fault if VRML never took off. The answer is simple, make it user friendly and people will not only be willing to download it and install it, but they will even put money down! How hard is it to understand?
