20 years ago today, Roger Clemens was pitching for the Red Sox when he pitched one of the most unbelievable and record breaking games in MLB History. For a pitcher to strikeout 20 out of 27 batters is phenominal and it hasn’t been broken since. If it does get broken, it would be amazing because I don’t think that there is a pitcher that will ever be better than Roger Clemens was.

WARNING: THE FOLLOWING IMAGES/TEXT MAY BE VERY DISTURBING, BUT THAT IS THE POINT!!!!!
In the world of hate, many think of the Holocaust when Hitler Killed Jews, Blacks and Gays. What about the Armenians? Why do people not think of the Armenian Genocide? The reason is that people don’t know about it and if they do not know than how can they feel the pain of the families.
Flash Genocide Movie
A Quote from Adolf Hitler the Holocaust: “Who still talks nowadays of the extermination of the Armenians?”
“Our strength is our quickness and our brutality. Ghengis Khan had millions of women and children hunted down and killed, deliberately and with a gay heart. History sees in him only the great founder of States. What the weak Western European civilization alleges about me, does not matter. I have given the order - and will have everyone shot who utters but one word of criticism - that the aim of {translator: this} war does not consist in reaching certain {translator: geographical} lines, but in the enemies’ physical elimination. Thus, for the time being only in the east, I put ready my Death’s Head units, with the order to kill without pity or mercy all men, women, and children of the Polish race or language. Only thus will we gain the living space that we need. Who still talks nowadays of the extermination of the Armenians?”
The Armenian genocide was one of the most massive “root-and-branch” exterminations ever carried out against a defenseless people. In 1915, as World War I raged, the Turkish government (ruler of the Ottoman Empire) decided upon the systematic extermination of most of the male Armenian population, and the forced deportation of the remainder, mostly women, children, and the elderly. The deportation became a death march, with extreme violence and deprivation leading to the death of most of the survivors of the initial gendercide — as was intended. The Turks would sometimes rape the women in front of their children and kill them after. By the time the exhausted and traumatized survivors reached refuge in neighbouring countries, up to three-quarters of the entire Ottoman Armenian population had been exterminated.
What about taking a 2 month old baby and throwing them in the air and catching them on a Bayonet

The Turks took the land away from Armenians and one of our greatest possessions is now in Turkey. Mt. Ararat was the tallest Mountain in Armenia. If you remember the Bible, Noah landed his ark on a Mountain and that mountain was Ararat.

I have all these stories that I want to share from my trip to Armenia, but I think that can be a post some other time

After a 3 run 1st inning, and then adding another run to the total in the fourth, the Sox were very satisfied with the way the game was going until the bottom of the fourth. Greg Zaun hit a 3 run homer to cut the lead by one and scared the Sox thinking it was going to be like 2 nights ago when they had the big lead and lost it.
In the 8th and 9th, the Sox added on two more runs as insurance. In the bottom of the ninth, the Jays were attacking and with the way this series was going, it was very doubtful if the Sox were going to be able to win. With one out in the 9th, the Jays grounded a double play ball to end the game.

With the game on the line in the 9th inning and two outs, Jonathan Papelbon had the bases loaded with the Sox ahead 7-4. Damon Hollins hit a line drive to center field and with the sox in their no singles defense, Adam Stern was playing deep and had to run in and dive to try to make the catch. Luckily for Stern and the Red Sox, he made the catch and the game was over.
If Stern missed it, the ball would have rolled into the corner and it would have been close to a inside the park HR.

Above Ortiz is watching a ball hit by Loretta, but does he get a chance to hit?
David Ortiz had an amazing game today with 2 HRs, 3 RBI’s, 500th Hit and 125th HR in a Red Sox Uniform. But was it enough to beat Seattle?
So let me tell you about this game that the Red Sox had today. It was a very close game between these two teams until the 9th inning where they took a 1 run lead that they kept til….o wait….no they didn’t keep it.
Here is how I saw the end of the game…..Mark Loretta stepped up to the plate with Kevin Youkolis on first base. Bottom of the 9th down by 1 run and 2 outs. The first pitch was a ball low, and so was the second pitch. Count 2-0. I looked down at the clock and I was running late to a meeting so I left. Can you guess what happened right as I left?
Mark Loretta hits a shot into left field for a 2 run homer for the walk off win.
Score 7-6 Red Sox Win
Record (9-4)

Since Google came out with their Google Calendar, i have been realizing that I may be switching to that one because you can share it with others. This way I will be able to fully benefit from sharing events with others. This will be very helpful for work and for PACE. I can schedule meetings and we can communicate through that. I am not saying this is the way it is going to be, but it is something I am thinking about.
I love the fact that I am able to fetch a calendar so I can link to the PACE Database which is cool. That way people can add it to their Google Calendar and then they will be able to know what PACE events are going on.
ITS is going to try and figure out a way to be able to throw our Calendar in there so students can use that to have all their classes and everything with plymouth on google. I don’t know all of the details of this, but it should be good.

I am so excited about this new development that I found out about tonight after “24″, The show is going to be aired another three seasons according to Fox News.
As part of the deal, Kiefer Sutherland (Jack Baur) will establish a production company based at 20th Century Fox Television to develop original programming, the studio announced Monday. He will also serve as a co-executive producer of the hit drama.
Show Summary: One of the most innovative, thrilling and acclaimed drama series on television, 24, created by Joel Surnow and Robert Cochran. Each episode will cover one hour of real time, and the season’s entire story will take place in one day. Once again, viewers will be able to follow several key characters through a day that none of them will ever forget.
This show is the most stressful, addicting show that I have ever seen. It leaves you the edge of your seat every time the hour ends with its famous clock countup to the next hour. If you have never seen the show, I would highly recommend it. For those of you who are gamers and watch the show, make sure you get “24″ the game. You will understand why the game is as addicting as the show.

This game was a lot better than the last outing for Tim Wakefield, a complete 180, one that he needed considering you normally do not see Wake bomb that bad. Wake went 6 innings allowing an unearned run in the first and thats it. With men on First and Third in the sixth, Wakefield struck out the side, taking down Corey Patterson followed by David Newhan and finally closing the inning striking out Luis Matos swinging. That ended the day for him, but I think it was the right time to pull him.
Nixon, Snow and Gonzalez walked in the sixth loading the bases for Adam Stern who was taking over for Coco Crisp after hurting his finger earlier in the game. Stern hit the ball to the first basemen, Kevin Millar who couldn’t make the play allowing Nixon to score making it 3-1 Sox followed by an RBI by Mark Loretta increasing the score to 4-1.
Wakefield (1-1)
Record (5-1)

I know the TV market is in reality TV shows, but don’t you think that they have gone too far with this one. “God or the Girl” is about four guys are trying to figure out if they want enter the sacred bond of priesthood while tempting them with beautiful girls trying to stir up emotions and throw them off their bond with God.
Robert Thompson, director of Syracuse University’s Center for the Study of Popular Television says, “The automatic response when you hear this is to think, ‘Oh man, how low can we sink?’.” I agree with him.
They are turning a very special relationship with a higher power into a five part TV series to see if we can make some money off of the fact that a women can affect something this important in someones life. I have to wonder two things: First, are the women getting paid to confuse the guys and then once they fall in love, the girls ditch them. Two, is the Catholic Church doing this to get people back into their churches, because if thats the case than we have other problems in life.
I am not a Catholic, I am obviously Armenian (think about it) which is a Christian denomination, Armenian Apostolic is Eastern Orthodox, just so you understand that I am not bashing the Christians, just the Catholic Church. Sorry

Not even a 90 minute rain delay would keep Schilling from dominating the mound once again for the Red Sox. Last time he was pitching, he went 7 innings, should tonight be any different. “At my Bob’s Discount Furniture, I doubt It”. Two on and two out, pitching #114 of the night and blew it by Jeff Conine for a 96mph strike out. He went 7 innings, accounting for three hits and one run against him, striking out 4 batters. The final score was 2-1 Red Sox win.
Schilling (2-0)
Record (4-1)
Tomorrow Tim Wakefield takes the hill for the second time trying to get his game back on track after his first bad loss of the season in his first start. He will be trying to secure the sweep for the Sox.
